Airsoft range limitations

Hi folks,

I’ve been playing for a couple of months so far, but only indoors in GTAC-urban. All going well, will be heading out to Potumna for first outdoor game this Sunday. Indoors, the limited range of airsoft AEGs is not a problem but what is it like outdoors? I guess it wouldn’t be too bad in a forest but generally speaking how often do you find yourself in a position that you can see but cannot hit your enemy due to range limitations (beyond 150′)? Is this frustrating?

Looking forward to it in any case. Hopefully ZOD (AKA Evilrobotshane) can keep the rain and wind off.

The other day at CQB I was just about to start a game so I loaded my pistol up and gassed it game started pulled it out went to take a shot and it shot perfectly but it only half-cocked. I pulled the slide back all the way took one more shot it half-cocked again.

So I lubed it up after the game went out to test it it didnt work. I tried the other clips none of them fully cocked it. I tried a friends clip still no sucsess.

Hi, Has anyone heard whats going on with the Chinese manufactures. Wanted to get a few items but stock seems to be running out everywhere and theres no sign of any new stock coming from anywhere. Hello all.

I would like to introduce a new resource for the Irish Airsofting community.

Irish Airsoft Sites will be a place for both the well tried airsofter and the first time out player,
Where you will be able to find out where your nearest skirmish site is or where your nearest airsoft shop is.
A website that a group of guys and girls can go to to organise a day out.

I hopefully will be able to go live by the end of this weekend with the full website.
I am developing this on my own so would like a bit of input especially from sites or shops if i haven’t tagged you on the map yet.

To get this off the ground, i have a contact page setup on the website so if you have any sites that i can mark in please email them along. Also any comments would be more than welcome.

For each site that i will have marked i would see their name and location obviously, a link to their website, and a link to a photo gallery of shots from the site itself.
For the Photos Link you can either upload them to your own web page, or i will have an email address setup where by you can email the photos to me with a description and i will add them to a gallery.

For the past several months I have been wanting to buy a new gun. I currently use a 98 custom. I have really been eyeing up the Ego’s and I will have about $400-500 to spend on a gun. I just cant decide if I should buy a used ego 7/8 or buy a new etek 3. Ego’s seem hard to find locally and it would be a used gun… The etek would be new and they seem like they are just about the same as a ego 7/8 (parts wise). Both would be around the same price. Not sure which way to go with this, so need some help from people that know a bit more about these guns. What would be the better choice?

Has anyone heard about a game that’s going on at Mt. Crawford on March 13th 2010?

Someone from DSAT (Darkside Airsoft Team) sent me a message about a game that’s supposed to happen over there. I was given an address.

I’m new to the airsoft scene here in Virginia. I know some events are not posted (like private games) on forums but they do happen. I am thinking that this is one of those events. Anyhow, I was just curious to see if there’s anyone from ACME who has heard about this game in particular.
